Friends and colleagues of an Albany woman killed in that plane crash are remembering her as a kind and selfless person.

29-year-old Tiffany Porter worked her last day at Albany Vascular Center Friday. The new clinic where she was going to work owned the private jet that crashed. Sadly it was just Friday that co-workers of Tiffany Porter gathered to wish her a fond farewell as she embarked on a new job opportunity.

 Neighbors say she was excited about her move. One that no one imagined would end so tragically.

"You couldn't ask for a better neighbor," said Kenneth Barfield of the 29-year-old Porter. Kenneth Barfield describing the girl next door.

The Alabama native spent the past year and a half working as a sonographer at Albany Vascular Specialist Center. Her last day on the job there was last Friday as she planned to start a new job in Tennessee.

"She was interested in moving and was excited about it," he said.

But Wednesday night her new start ended tragically. She and four others aboard a Hawker Beechcraft 390 jet owned by the Vein Guys Clinic were killed and two others were injured when the pilot tried to abort a landing at Thomas-McDuffie Regional Airport. The aircraft hit a utility pole and crashed into a field.

"I was devastated. I cried. I was outside painting and walked on her back porch and cried and said a prayer for her," said Barfield.

Barfield says he and his wife would often take out Porter's trash and help her with odd jobs. "One day she left a gift bag on my front porch with an inspirational book and a card saying she appreciated me taking out her trash for her. She was an all around wonderful girl."

A girl who in her short time here, made an impact on many. "She was a wonderful girl," said Doctor Tripp Morgan. "We love her. And we know we'll see her again."

And employees at Albany Vascular said they were too devastated to go on camera. But Doctor Morgan did say she was loved by both her patients and co-workers.

 So far there is no word on funeral arrangements. Porter was a native of Eutaw, Alabama and was still in the process of moving to Tennessee.
