TIFTON, GA (WALB) -
Tift County's Brannen Greene has been named Mr Georgia Basketball by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
The award is presented to the top male high school basketball player in the state of Georgia.
Brannen Greene is averaging 29 points a game this season for the Blue Devils.
He signed last November to play at the University of Kansas next season.
The Tift County boys team will host Westlake in the second round of the Georgia High School Association state tournament on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
It is the second game of a doubleheader with the Tift County Lady Blue Devils playing Newton.
The Tift County girls game will tip at 6:00 p.m..
