Smithville's police chief was involved in a wreck with another driver on US 19 in between Albany and Americus. The extent of any potential injuries is not know right now.

The Georgia State Patrol is handling the report. Both vehicles are being towed by a wrecker.

We have a crew headed to the scene and we'll update the story once new details become available.
