The RevLabs Training Center officially selects Andrew Eidson for the head instructor position of Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. The choice comes not only because of Andrew’s world-class training and experience, but also due to his commitment to providing the best instruction for both children and adults.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 21, 2013
The RevLabs Training Center is the latest Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school to open up in the 4S neighborhood of San Diego. The school features world class Judo and Jiu Jitsu classes for men, women, and children of all ages. The focus of the RevLabs Training Center is to provide a place where families or individuals can get active in fun and safe activities.
Classes at the training center focus primarily on Judo and Jiu Jitsu, two forms of martial arts that focus on self-discipline and non striking martial arts, teaching practitioners to use their body and control to neutralize an opponent. Due to this, these activities are appropriate for children of all ages, and can be practiced for sport, exercise, and self defense.
With the opening of the Training Center in the family friendly 4s neighborhood, one of the most important aspects was finding the right head instructor. After much consideration, the RevLabs team chose Andrew Eidson, a black belt in both Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Andrew began training Judo in 1992 and picked up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1999. Quickly growing in experience and skill, Andrew met the famed 4th degree Carlson Gracie, Otavio de Almeida Jr. and black belt Paulo Fernando, who he began studying with.
Paulo personally instructed Andrew, showing techniques passed down from Carlson Gracie and Otavio de Almeida Jr. themselves. Andrew quickly made a name for himself, and several prestigious gyms in Brazil invited him to train, giving Andrew the opportunity to study with Jiu Jitsu legends including Carlson Gracie Sr., Flavio Behring, and Roberto Lage. As his experience grew, Andrew began instructing classes at Paulo Fernando’s school and became one of only two students to be awarded the black belt by Paulo.
Though Andrew’s lineage, experience, and skill are world-class, these were not the only considerations in selecting Andrew for the head instructor position of the RevLabs Training Center. One of the most important aspects of the Training Center is the creation of a safe and fun environment where men, women, and children of all ages can enjoy activities in a safe environment. Andrew demonstrates not only dedication to the sport, but also to instructing children to help them grow stronger physically and mentally, as can be seen in the motto for their children’s program: “We provide the best kids program in the country for both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo. We stress the value of sportsmanship and etiquette all while helping children to overcome their obstacles. Personal growth is our primary focus, and children of all ages can learn in a safe and friendly environment where they can acquire discipline and self-confidence.”
