South Georgia high school students got some encouragement as they prepare for college and the workforce.
More than 70 students attended the Annual Youth Summit put on by the Regional Partners Network. Thats' a coalition of various agencies throughout the region. This year's theme is Education- The Link to Success.
Students sat in on workshops to help prepare them for college.
"It's awesome to be because, like, I'm very social and it helped me out a lot to know that if I don't like this, I can do into another field," said Thomasville Student Vandacious Thompson.
Open invitations were given to schools across the region. Last year was the first summit in several years after budget cuts forced the group to take a hiatus.
Today, they had more than twice as many students as last year, and they hope that number keeps growing.
