THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A federal credit union teamed up with local law enforcers to donate to a Thomas County children's advocacy center.

Rose City Federal Credit Union asked Thomasville and Thomas County officers if they would like to prepare meals for their last business meeting as a fundraiser for the center.

The officers accepted and Tuesday The Credit Union presented a $2,600 check to The Treehouse Children's Advocacy Center.

"It helps us do forensic interviews for children who have been abused sexually or otherwise. Since we only get a certain amount of funding, we have to rely on our community partners and our private industries to help us gain funds to help us keep going," said Treehouse Chair Scott Woodell.

The Advocacy Center is also preparing for their annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser on March 2nd.
