The Jimmy Carter National Historic Site hosted special Presidents' Day events Monday, including a lecture by Dr. Laurence Cook.
He's a presidential historian, author, and collector of presidential memorabilia from Pennsylvania who loves coming to Plains. "It's my favorite place to be on Presidents' Day and really any day of the year. I think any President's hometown would be an important place to be on Presidents' Day, and it's great to see people come out an honor that," Cook said.
A Theodore Roosevelt re-enactor also gave a performance in Plains.
