ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

It's a simple way to honor Georgia veterans and highlight their service.

Monday, the Department of Driver Services unveiled a new design for veterans drivers licenses.

It includes an American flag next to the cardholder's date of birth, and the word "veteran" is printed in large, red lettering.

The eligibility requirements to get one of the free ID's hasn't changed. Find out more about those requirements and how you can get one of the licenses at  http://www.dds.ga.gov/drivers/dldata.aspx?con=1741838154&ty=dl
