DAWSON, GA (WALB) -

There are new charges against a Terrell County truck driver who remains in jail accused of running away after striking three people on Highway 520, killing a mother and her child on valentine's Day night.

Scottie Oxford is charged with serious injury by vehicle, hit and run, and failure to report an accident with death.

He turned himself Friday afternoon. Thursday night, troopers say his semi hit and killed 24-year-old Latasha Harvey and her 4-year-old daughter Emani and seriously injured 23-year-old Adrianna Glover.

Other charges, including vehicular homicide, are pending the outcome of a Georgia State Patrol investigation. Oxford's bond is set at $75,000.
