One woman is dead, another man is injured and a suspect is arrested following a shooting that led to a multi-county chase.

According to Rockwall Police, around 8pm Saturday, a man and a woman were found shot in a parking lot near The Harbor Rockwall, which is a shopping, dining and entertainment center. Police say the suspect fled the scene but was identified as the females ex-boyfriend.

Less than an hour later, police in Garland, Texas spotted the suspects vehicle and a chase ensued. The suspect who is identified as 47-year-old Anthony Lewis led police on the chase that ended just south of Greenville in Hunt county, about 25 miles away from the shooting location. Lewis then got out of his vehicle and pointed a handgun at officers after his car ran over spikes laid out by police. Lewis was then shot by officers on the scene, apprehended, then taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was later flown to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas for further treatment.

The two victims in this shooting have not yet been identified.

Authorities in the City of Rockwall and the Texas Rangers are currently investigating this incident.

According to WFAA, Lewis is a former Hunt County Constable.
