Information from the Pataula Drug Task Force

On Thursday, law enforcement officers with the Pataula Drug Task Force, Early County Sheriff's Office, Miller County Sheriff's Office, Colquitt Police Department, Georgia Department of Corrections Probation, Sylvester Field Office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and Georgia State Patrol, Colquitt Post, executed 31 arrest warrants in the Early and Miller counties.

These arrests were the result of an eight month undercover illegal narcotics investigation conducted by the Pataula Drug Task Force, and Early and Miller County Sheriff's Offices.

Arrests resulting from the investigation are as follows:

Early County:  Altaveus Branch, 36, Sale of Marijuana; Robert George, 30, Sale of Marijuana and Sale of Cocaine; Larry Bernard Johnson, 22, Sale of Marijuana; Brad Lindsey, 20, Sale of Marijuana and Sale of Cocaine; Anthony Trevon Mays, 23, Sale of Marijuana; Nathaniel Moore Jr., 25, Sale of Marijuana; Kendrick Reed, 30, Theft by Taking; Andre Leron Smith, 20, Sale of Marijuana; Rashad Snipes, 24, Sale of Marijuana; Antron Wiggins, 29, Sale of Marijuana; Antonio (Bubba) Williams, 34, Sale of Cocaine; Elaine Williams, 55, Sale of a Control Substance Schedule IV (Alprazolam)(Carisoprodol) and Nacovian Montez Wimberly, 23, Sale of Marijuana.

Miller County: Mario Maurice Bell, 29, Sale of Marijuana, Sale of Marijuana With the intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; Lakesha Benton, 33, Sale of a Controlled Substance schedule III (Hydrocodone); Chadarious Burr, 17, Sale of Marijuana; George Coke, 51, Sale of Marijuana; Marlin Hayes, 45, Sale of a Controlled Substance Schedule III (Hydrocodone); Andrea Hopson, 40, Sale of a Controlled Substance Schedule III (Hydrocodone); Kelvin Morgan, 38, Sale of Cocaine; John Newberry aka Shorty Phillips, 71, Sale of a Controlled Substance Schedule III (Hydrocodone)(Alprazolam Schedule IV); Melody Norman, 34, Sale of a Controlled Substance Schedule IV (Carisoprodol); Xavier Darrell Ricks, 29, Sale of Marijuana; Michael Lemoaine Riggins, 29, Sale of Cocaine; Sandra Shepard, 40, Sale of a Controlled substance Schedule IV (Alprazolam); Jarrod Simms, 33, Sale of Cocaine; Mary Anne Simms (Perkins), 60, Sale of a Controlled Substance Schedule III (Hydrocodone); Beverly Sims (Bertha Sims), 50, Sale of a Controlled substance Schedule IV (Alprazolam); Deliah Skye Thomas, 18, Sale of Marijuana and Sale of a Controlled substance Schedule IV (Alprazolam) and Prentice Leroy Thornton, 32, Sale of a Controlled  Substance (Hydrocodone).

The Pataula Drug Task Force, Early County and Miller County Sheriff's Offices are expected to make more arrest as a result of this investigation. The joint effort between the law enforcement agencies will continue in an effort to combat illegal drug activities.
