GALVESTON, TX (KLTV) -
The first two buses carrying passengers from the Carnival Triumph have arrived in Galveston this morning.
After days bobbing in the Gulf of Mexico aboard a damaged cruise ship, all passengers had left the Carnival Triumph by about 1 a.m. Friday, according to Carnival's official Twitter account.
The ship left from Galveston, TX, a week ago and was supposed to return on Monday.
They are expecting 800 passengers to arrive in Galveston today.
KLTV's Taylor Hemness is live on the scene where the weary passengers are filing out of the buses and will have updates for us throughout the morning and on East Texas News at Midday.
