ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany honored a former Marine Thursday. He is walking to benefit the Wounded Warriors Program.
51-year-old Former Marine Sgt. Mack McQuown will be staying at MCLB for four days as he prepares for his trek.
McQuowm started his journey is Stafford Virginia on September 11th, 2011 and walked to Ground Zero.
He is trying to walk around the entire United States.
"To date I've be to six capitols, through nine states totaling 1586 miles. I've met some phenomenal people. i met a lot of veteran heroes people who have fought from Vietnam, Korea, World War II," said Marine Sgt. Mack McQuown, the "Walking Marine."
