ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
There was a lot of dancing at a special Valentine's event at the Albany Civic Center, Tuesday.
The Recreation and Parks Department and the Albany Junior League sponsored this dance for people with special needs.
About 200 people with disabilities showed up.
Organizers say it's a great way for them to let loose and have some fun.
"It's a fun night that they really look forward to that they can dress up and be themselves and just have a great time with a bunch of friends, dance and celebrate," said event organizer Robyn Fink.
This is the first year the city has put on the dance.
