ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany city leaders got input from residents and public transportation riders on where they want a new transportation hub, Tuesday.

The city is considering four possible locations for a new multi-modal transportation center.

They are the current bus station in the Harlem district, the old Carmike Theater, the old China Palace on Oglethorpe and the site of the former Heritage House Hotel.

City officials say Tuesday's public hearing was beneficial.

"We had a really good crowd. As far as verbally, we probably had about 30 or 40 comments made. There were a lot of good questions asked. We had written comments as well and that will be incorporated for the presentation on Tuesday the 19th," said Albany Assistant City Manager Wes Smith.

City commissioners will discuss the site plan again next Tuesday.
