Rent A Wheel apparently targeted by burglars

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Thieves continue to target a central Albany business, stealing thousands of dollars worth of tires.

Thieves apparently targeted Rent A Wheel on North Slappey for the third time Monday night, but this time they couldn't get inside.

Managers tell us overnight Friday thieves did pry open a garage-style door and take 18 tires worth about $5600.

Sunday night someone tried to pry that door open again, but failed.

Monday night more signs of someone trying to get in the store.

Managers hope police will increase patrols around their business.
