ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
The city of Albany issued an invitation for the public to attend an open community forum for site selection of the future Albany Multimodal Facility.
The City and the Albany Transit System will hold a public meeting to solicit public comments on the site selection process for the proposed Albany Multimodal Facility today at 4:00 p.m. at 222 Pine Ave., Room 120.
Assistant City manager Wes Smith says, "The firm reviewing the four proposed sites, Wendell Company, is making good progress. As part of the review, GDOT has recommended an opportunity for community input. I am making arrangements for such an event the evening of February 12, 2013."
Smith said that Wendell will be available for individual Commissioners to hear the review of the sites in advance.
"There is a lot of data to digest, and this should help prepare for the February 19, 2013 Commission committee meeting when the review will be officially presented."
