DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

A probation service will most likely continue their work for Dougherty County.

Monday, commissioners were presented with two contracts to renew probation services through the Judicial Alternatives of Georgia. One is for superior court with Judge Willie Lockette, the other is for state court with Judge Victoria Darrisaw.

"There's thousands of people on probation in Dougherty County and this service has to account for each and everyone of them," said Richard Crowdis, the county administrator.

The two contracts will be renewed automatically after they're officially approved. Commissioners are expected to vote at their next regular meeting, on February 18th.
