ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
A man accused of assaulting a Georgia State Patrol trooper remains in the Dougherty County Jail facing numerous charges.
19 year-old Chaz Miller was arrested Sunday afternoon after a trooper pulled over a car for speeding on East Oglethorpe near the Liberty Expressway.
GSP officials say during the traffic stop Miller, a passenger in the car, got violent with the trooper.
The trooper was taken to the hospital and has been treated and released.
Miller is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and aggravated assault on a peace officer.
