A Lee County man is in custody tonight after firing shots during a domestic dispute on Middle Road.

Lee County deputies say a man and his wife got into an argument after their daughters car broke down again.

They say the argument got out of hand and the man grabbed his gun. He fired several shots inside the home.

His wife escaped the home and called authorities.

When deputies arrived on scene the man was hiding in the woods.

His brother contacted him by phone and convinced him to turn himself in.

The gun was recovered inside the home.

He is currently at the Lee County jail. Charges are pending.
