Albany author holds book signing

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany author received an outpouring of support at his book signing Sunday night.

Victor Powell, who wrote, "The Awakening: The Discovery of You" signed books and held a question and answer session at Elements coffee shop.

It took Powell a year to complete the 100 page book, which he finished this past December.  He discusses managing change and his personal life story.

"The book has really awakened so many people to help people discover who they are and that there's always another you to you. There's something different to who you are. And that's what the book is about," said Powell.

Powell, a Chicago native lives in Albany. He serves as a Bishop at REMA World Cathedral.

He is thankful for all of the support he's received in South Georgia. Powell will be working on a follow up project in six months.
