ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Fathers got to bond with their girls and support some worthy causes, Friday.

The Albany Civic Center hosted the annual Daddy Daughter dance.

Proceeds will go to the Girl Scouts, Girls Incorporated and the Flint River chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

One father told us good parenting is vital to a young lady's well-being.

"They need that support throughout life from a toddler to becoming an adult, without that, they don't have the support or backbone to survive," said Thomas Outlaw.

The event has become so popular, they had two sessions, Friday, one from 6 to 8 and a second from 9 to 11.
