ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

It's the best of times for South Georgia cookie lovers -- it's Girl Scout Cookie time again.

The cookies arrived today at the Girl Scout's regional office in Albany.

There are a half dozen flavors to choose from this year.

Girl Scout cookies have a reputation as diet busters but officials say that they're okay for you in moderation and if you don't like any of the flavors you can donate boxes to those who are serving our country overseas.

"There's always our charitable program that we do that our girls are selling called 'Operation Cookies From Home' so if they're not willing to buy a box of cookies for themselves then they can donate them to men and women serving overseas," said Tiffany Stewart of The Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.

You can order your cookies from your favorite Girl Scout now or wait until the 15th to get them at booths around the area.
