THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

More than a fifth of the students at one south Georgia school will be performing in "Annie" this weekend in Thomasville.

All of Brookwood's Upper School showed their support for the performers with a balloon release this afternoon.

Students ranging from kindergartners to 12th graders will present the classic Broadway hit three times at the Municipal Auditorium.

"We get to sing all the songs and do all the dance moves. And we get do lots of lines and it's really fun and we get to get mic'ed. Yea we have microphones and that is fun,"said performers Wilson Young and Audrey Simmons.

The show will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday night.

There will also be a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.

General Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students.

All of the proceeds benefit the Brookwood Drama Guild.
