ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Information from the Girl Scouts
Girl Scout Cookie season is here! The Girl Scouts invite the public to join them to celebrate the world's largest girl-led business with the first-ever National Girl Scout Cookie Day, today.
Guests at Texas Star Steakhouse in Albany will be able to purchase special desserts made with Girl Scout Cookies on Friday.
Girl Scouts will also host a one-day-only social media contest. Those interested may visit Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest to share why they would recommend buying #onemorebox!
Cookies arrive this Friday; booth sales begin on February 15 and run through March 10. Cookie seekers may visit www.girlscoutcookies.org to find the nearest Girl Scout cookie booth or to download the new Girl Scout Cookie Finder app available for both Android and IPhone.
Buying Girl Scout cookies is about more than just enjoying a delicious treat. It's about the skills and learning a girl gains from running her own cookie business and working with others.
A purchase of Girl Scout cookies means the customer gets tasty cookies, and a girl learns a lifetime of skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
