ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
A suspected gun thief is on the run and Dougherty County Police need help tracking him down.
But stolen guns aren't the only thing this wanted man is accused of stealing.
40-year-old David Arrington is accused of breaking in a home on La Costa Drive and stealing thousands of dollars worth of guns. But he can now add auto theft to his rap sheet.
DCP detectives believe Arrington, a Leesburg resident, has hit other homes.
That mid-January break-in on La Costa netted 8 rifles, a computer and coins. 2 of those guns, police say, he sold at a park.
He was last seen driving an '84 Camaro but he ditched that ride and soon after rented a 2010 white Ford Focus at David Smith Auto Land in Albany but he never brought it back.
Now he's charged with auto theft. The tag number on that Focus is P-0-B-4-2-5-1. Arrington is 5'10 about 165 pounds and right now police aren't sure where he's hiding.
Arrington is facing charges of burglary and because of a prior record, he's charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
If you see him or know where he is call Dougherty County Police at 430-6600 or CrimeStoppers at 229-436-TIPS. You could earn a reward.
