ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Patrol officers warn you that some areas of South Georgia, especially east of Albany, could see foggy conditions again Thursday morning.

Dougherty County Police warn you always to be extremely cautious when driving through foggy areas and make sure to buckle up.

They say you should give yourself extra time to get to your destination and never stop in the middle of fog.

"Don't ever stop in the roadway. The vehicle behind you may not be able to see that you have stopped then you could be struck in the rear. By all means if you have an opportunity to pull off the roadway, if you think the conditions are too hazardous, then pull off," said DCP Patrol Officer Reggie French.

You also should not use you high-beam lights while driving through fog.
