ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
We are on the second day of Severe Weather Awareness Week in Georgia, and officials say safety is all about being prepared.
This is especially true with tornado season right around the corner.
As part of this week's observation, Georgia Emergency Management Agency's Ready Georgia Campaign is urging people statewide to take some steps toward preparedness each day.
Monday was Family Preparedness Day, when you should identify a family reconnection place a weather radio. WALB has partnered with Harvey's supermarkets in south west Georgia to offer them for sale for about $30.00.
Tuesday is Thunderstorm Safety Day.
Wednesday you are urged to find a safe place in your home where you can take shelter during a tornado.
