ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
It's National Pancake Day and cooks at IHOP will be busy Tuesday flipping those flap jacks for a good cause.
IHOP restaurants across the country are offering customers a short stack of their famous buttermilk pancakes for free all day Tuesday. The only thing they ask of you is to leave a small donation in honor Children's Miracle Network.
Each year, the 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals treat over 17 million children in the United States. All the donations will benefit Phoebe's Children's Miracle Network facility here in Albany.
This is the 8th year in a row IHOP restaurants have served free pancakes to their customers and they're hoping this year is even better.
"Our goal this year is $5,000 and I would like for everybody to come in and eat pancakes and give donations today. Just come to IHOP, support our need today. Please come in today and support us," says IHOP crew manager Terry Young.
IHOP is serving up those free pancakes until 10 o'clock Tuesday night.
