TIFTON, GA (WALB) -
You can help people with Alzheimer's while watching your favorite hometown celebrities dance.
ABC's hit series Dancing with the Stars inspired the Tifton Alzheimer's Association to put on a show called Dancing Stars of South Georgia.
This is video from a similar competition in Atlanta. "Star" dancers will be paired with a "pro" partner.
Half of the dancers have already been confirmed. Organizers say you can expect a fun filled night.
"It is going to be a lot of food, drinks, and dancing, and just a real fun glitzy affair to get people excited about helping a worthy cause," says Bonnie Sayles, Director of Programs and Services.
This event will take place Saturday, May 4 at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center.
It will benefit the South Georgia Region of the Alzheimer's Association. Call 229-388-8219 if you are interested in dancing.
