Atlanta - Fire Investigators with Insurance and Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens' office have ruled a Sunday afternoon fatal fire in Dooly County accidental.
The 2:30 p.m. fire killed Todd Mercer, 38. The home located at 305 Andrew Street, Vienna, incurred minor smoke damage.
"Investigators have determined that unattended cooking was the cause of the fire," said Commissioner Hudgens. "Mercer was transported to Crisp County Hospital were he later died of smoke inhalation."
