ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

South Georgia electronics stores say they're busy as people get ready for the Super Bowl by buying new televisions.

Nationally the week before the Super Bowl is one of the two biggest weeks of the year for television sales.

South Georgia businesses say they are having successful sales.

They say people want t-v's with the latest technology and big screens.

"The sales always spike just before the Super Bowl," said Knight's Appliance and Electronics Owner.  "People are going to have that big party and they get to looking at that old TV and wow, we got to do something about this. And they go buy a new TV."

Knight Appliances has televisions that run from $200 to $5000.

The biggest screen T-V now available is a 90 inch L-E-D.
