ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

More than 7 thousand dollars worth of well equipment belonging to Albany Water Gas and Light has been stolen. Investigators are asking metal recyclers to keep watch for people trying to sell it.

The equipment was stolen from Water Gas and Light well number 9 on North Broadway Street where workers were doing renovations. The equipment was stored on pallets by the building.

They are metal shafts and industrial water supplier bowls. Some of the equipment weighs hundreds of pounds.
