THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Folks in Thomasville are enjoying good food while shopping for good deals and donating to a good cause.

Friday is the first night if Thomasville's Junior Service League's annual Bargain Bazaar at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds.

League members and others donate clothes, furniture, electronics, sporting goods, and other materials to be re-sold to the public.

And all of the proceeds benefit local charities.

"The money goes to children's charities in Thomas County. Our main endowment project is the Treehouse Children's Advocacy Center, but we also buy eye glasses for children at school and help other various charities in Thomas County," said JSL President Lindsay Thompson.

Friday's event will run until 9.

Doors open again Saturday morning at 8.
