Thomasville Police are on the scene at Little Caesar's Pizza on Jackson St., where they say an armed robbery occurred about 10:00AM.
Officials locked down city schools in the area as a result, but those have re-opened.
Police say one of the Little Caesars employees unlocked the door for another employee when a man with a hand gun forced his way in.
The suspect demanded money from the employees and left the store with an undetermined amount of cash.
Police say the employees did not get a good look at his face, but describe the robber as a tall black man wearing a beige jacket and blue jeans.
Police believe the suspect ran west on Jackson Street.
