Lee Co. commissioner expects business to boom in 2013
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Lee County leaders are looking for economic development in 2013, especially along Ledo Road.
Work is underway at the new Prince Chevrolet location on the Lee County side of the Road.
Lee County Commission Chairman Rick Muggridge says some big name retail chains are expressing interest in the Ledo Road area.
They could bring a significant number of jobs to Southwest Georgia.
"There's some big boxes that are still not in our area that are looking at our area. We're hopeful and the reality is, they're coming. Whether they come on the north side of the road or the south side of the road, the good news is it means jobs," said Muggridge.
Muggridge says another used car dealership may also be coming to Ledo Road.
