ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
A South Georgia businessman, convicted of bribery in June, receives a 15 month prison sentence Wednesday evening in Albany Federal Court.
The sentencing for 65 year old Wiley Jordan started at ten Wednesday morning. Judge Louis Sands listened to evidence about each of the 5 loans in question, to determine the restitution that Jordan would have to pay. Jordan owned Southeastern Farm Brokers. Prosecutors say he paid kickbacks to a loan officer at Southwest Georgia Farm Credit in Bainbridge to ensure he got 3-point-4-million dollars in loans.
Jordan sentenced to serve 15 months in federal prison for bribery.
