Joey James is losing is position as an administrator with the Dougherty County School System.
DCSS members who were present for the hearing voted to fire him after charges of unwanted sexual advances toward a staff member at Southside Middle School.
School Board members Tharin, Price, Ealum, and Youngblood were present, while members Bush, Griffin, and Riggins were not present at the meeting.
James is set for a hearing before Judge Willie Lockette in February. He is contesting the loss of his teaching certificate which was taken by the Professional Standards Commission.
In 2011, a paraprofessional alerted police and claimed James - who was then principal of southside middle school - touched her breasts and buttocks against her will.
James recently lost his teaching certification after the states professional standards commission determined the allegations against him to be true.
