DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

The Dougherty County school board will decide whether an administrator should keep his job.

A personnel hearing is scheduled Wednesday morning for Joey James, the assistant principal for Monroe High School.

The professional standards commission revoked his teaching license in December after they found sexual harassment allegations against him to be true.

In 2011, a paraprofessional alerted police and claimed James, who was then principal of Southside Middle School, touched her breasts and buttocks against her will. He was arrested.

"Of course if he were to get it back then he could reapply and perhaps they would hire him. But right now, he does not have a license to be an administrator in Georgia. So I don't think we really have much choice," said Tommy Coleman, the school system attorney.

James is currently on leave, but still on payroll.  He is appealing the revocation of his teaching license.
