LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -
One southwest Georgia ministry continues to help hundreds of men overcome drug and alcohol addiction and they rely heavily on your donations to stay afloat.
The Anchorage has been helping men for nearly 60 years but officials say times are tough and they need your help now more than ever.
But the Anchorage and their substance abuse center in Lee County say they need your help.
The ministry houses up to 56 men at a time and covers the cost of housing, food, and the recovery programs.
Officials with the ministry say it's thanks to your donations that they are able to continuing helping change the lives of so many men in southwest Georgia.
"This community has supported us well for almost 60 years now we've been in existence and we are able to provide services to the men free of charge for the first four months so it's a great ministry and it's continuing by the grace of God and the generosity of this community," says Anchorage Executive Director Keith Gaines.
They say some of their biggest needs right now is meat for breakfast. But monetary donations are always at the top of the list. They are all tax deductible and every penny that you give goes straight to providing these free services of the men in the program.
