ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police are warning people to beware of a phony taxi cab that was used to rob a man early Sunday morning.

Mario Beltran told police he called for a cab about one o'clock Sunday morning.

He says a yellow minivan with taxi written on the side came to pick him up.

Beltran says once he got inside, two men in the minivan drove him to 1001 Dunes Avenue.  The men took his money at gunpoint, and put him out.

Police warn you to make sure you're using a legitimate taxi service before you accept a ride.
