We now know the name of the victim who was beaten and robbed at his apartment off Moultrie Road Sunday night.

Police say 24-year-old Diego Perez was in his backyard at Cornerstone Apartments right off Moultrie Road around 7:00 Sunday night when two men walked up demanding money.

That's when they stuck Perez in the head several times with a stick, stole his wallet, and fled the scene.

He was transported to Phoebe where he was treated for large lacerations to the left side of his head. He has since been released from the hospital but officials say he attackers are still on the loose.

Anyone with any information about their whereabouts are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-8477.
