ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
A dog at a coon hunting event in Albany attacked a young boy.
Albany Police say it happened at the Exchange club fair grounds around 4:30 Saturday afternoon. Officials say the 6 year-old boy was looking at the dogs on display and when he approached the hound dog, it lunged at him. Witnesses had to strike the dog to get it to let go. The boy suffered two wounds to his chest. He was taken to the hospital, but his condition is unknown at this time. The dog was not part of the Coon Hunting competition, but it was on sale.
