THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

The state fire marshals office is investigating the cause of a suspicious mobile home fire in Thomasville.

Firefighters say they responded to this vacant mobile home on east Pinetree Boulevard around 8 o'clock Thursday night.

Investigators say with no one living in the home, and the lack of a freak lightning storm, they do think this could have been the result of arson.

"At the time of the fire we discovered that the home was vacant and there was no power to the residence and due to those factors we called an investigator through the state fire marshals office and it's currently under investigation for the cause," said Operations Chief Robin Lawson.

If you know anything about this fire, Thomas County Fire Rescue wants to hear from you.

Give them a call at 225-4190.
