Dougherty County school board members will discuss possibly closing schools because of a shrinking student population.
WALB News 10 has learned that Dougherty Middle, Sylvester Road Elementary and Magnolia Elementary will be considered for closure.
As of spring 2012, 489 students were enrolled at Magnolia, 465 at Sylvester Road and 553 at Dougherty Middle.
A new report that board members will review shows a lot of vacant space in Dougherty County schools.
There are now fewer than 16,000 students enrolled in the system's 26 schools.
Magnolia was mentioned for possible closure back in 2012.
At that time, board members said closing the school would save the system $950,000.
