ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Celebrity hunters and Quail Unlimited leaders say thanks to landowners opening their property to hunters this weekend.

Thursday, the Landowners Appreciation Dinner for the 27th Annual Quail Unlimited Celebrity Hunt was held at the Civic Center.

The quail hunting begins Friday morning.

A lot of folks are looking forward to hitting the fields and woods, Friday, and enjoying the other weekend events.

"I think it's great for Albany. It brings a lot of people hear to town to see Albany and they come and eat and stay and shop. It's good for the whole community and Quail unlimited," said participant Bo Henry.

Celebrity Hunt activities include concerts Friday night and Saturday night at the Civic Center.
