ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A man wanted for shooting up an Albany home on Monday was flushed out of an attic Wednesday night where he was hiding from SWAT team members.

Albany Dougherty Gang Unit learned 24 year old Antwan Lamons was staying at a duplex in the 400 block of Mercer Avenue. He barricaded himself in an attic and when negotiations failed to work, Albany-Dougherty SWAT knew exactly how to get him out.

"At that point we went to deploying chemical munitions and upon the last deployment of munitions we were successful to make contact with him," said Lieutenant Michael Persley of APD.

Lamons was wanted for shooting up a house in the 900 block of Cherry Avenue. Two kids were inside the home but were not hurt. He's being held in the Dougherty County Jail on several counts of aggravated assault and firearms charges.
