ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Dougherty County Police arrest a man they say bought high powered rifles stolen during a home burglary last week. They're still looking for the man they think stole a total of 8 guns from that house. He's a convicted felon investigators believe may have broken into other homes. They hope you can help track him down.

Police issued arrest warrants for 40 year old David Arrington for burglary, theft, and gun charges. Investigators say he stole a Dougherty County man's rare gun collection, and sold two of them. Police recovered those two rifles, but they want Arrington and the rest of those guns off the streets.

Dougherty County Police want your help finding this man, 40 year old David Arrington. He is charged with burglarizing Jonathan Connell's home on La Costa Drive January 15th, stealing 8 rifles, magazines, a computer, and 150 silver coins. Yesterday Investigators arrested 31 year old Travis Malone, and recovered two of the guns.

Connell said "It means a lot that I've got some of my stuff back. But more importantly it's, rest a little more easier. Know that whoever came in my house. My kids. I'm much more comfortable with my kids being there, and just feel a little more secure."

Connell offered a $5000 reward for information in the burglary, and tips poured in.

Dougherty County Police Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick said "Mr. Arrington was actually selling the firearms in a park near Waddell Avenue on the west side of town. And that's where some of the weapons were sold. Ultimately we ended up recovering 2 of the 8 weapons that were stolen."

Malone is charged with buying those guns. But police think Arrington may still have the rest of those guns. He has been driving a solid black 1984 Chevrolet Camaro like this. Arrington has been convicted for other burglaries, and Police think he could be involved in several other burglaries in the Doublegate and Stonebridge areas. Now Police and Connell hope the community will help find Arrington.

Connell said "It does say a lot about our community. People stepping up and doing the right thing. And trying to get people that are doing this stuff off the streets. So whoever actually was the person who turned them in, hats off to them."

Police hope if you see this distinctive 1984 Chevrolet Camaro, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS, or DCP at 430-6600, as they search for David Arrington.
