According to I Fly First Class most Domestic Us Airlines Need to Improve Their Cabins

San Francisco, California (PRWEB) January 24, 2013

According to a recent study by I Fly First Class, JetBlue ranked the best in economy class passenger satisfaction in 2012. The majority of large U.S. airlines, however, need to step up cabin staff services, the study determined. The experts at I Fly First Class based their review on Skytrax ratings for six elements: airline cabin service, cleanliness, cabin staff language skills, seat comfort, food quality and in-flight entertainment. The results showed that cabin service is one of the most critical elements in the ratings.

Excellent cabin service and in-flight entertainment earned JetBlue its top rating, although its cabin language skills ratings suffered. http://www.iflyfirstclass.com [I Fly First Class Public Relations Manager Julia Graft is not surprised by JetBlue's ratings, noting that JetBlue has an extremely loyal customer base. That loyalty, however, does not generally carry through to large "legacy" airlines. Passengers who may have been loyal in the past to legacy carriers such as American and United Airlines have switched to newer carriers like JetBlue where passengers perceive they get first class service without the additional cost. Graft also points out that JetBlue only offers economy class options, leaving out business class travelers entirely.

Earning a No. 2 spot on the passenger satisfaction ratings was up-and-coming airline Virgin America, with strong in-flight entertainment. Delta Airlines, one of the only legacy airlines to place in the top half of the list, earned a spot at No. 3 with strong cabin staff service marks.

At the bottom of the ratings is beleaguered United Airlines. The legacy carrier suffered most in its cabin staff services, although it ranked well on seat comfort. U.S. Airways took ninth place in the ratings, with American Airlines coming in at No. 8.

I Fly First Class experts note that cabin service ratings were the downfall of several of the airlines. With the number of economy class passengers increasing, airlines will certainly need to address the service element. Pointing to occasional management and union issues at legacy airlines, Graft suggests that lower-rated carriers will need to rise above the issues to restore credibility and professionalism. She registered a confidence that those airlines are capable of employing the people needed to provide that sought-after good service. Below is the study's ranked list of airlines.
