Walmart re-opens in Camilla

Camilla has something to celebrate today, a brand new Walmart Super Center.

This super center isn't like all the super centers you've seen before.

It's the first of it's kind, a small format super center but employees say the customers won't miss out on anything.

"We're not missing anything a super center have smaller format but everything the customer will" says store manager Kimberly Alexander

You'll see some new rows when you walk into the store.

"The produce their going to walk they are going to see the fresh meat, they will walk back and see a full line of frozen we have everything we didn't have over at the other store. We have added in over 900 skews of what we had" says Alexander.

And customers seem to like it too.

Nan Chapman says "Well it's just great I've just had the biggest time today I could have spent a week"

She used to shop at the old Walmart and she is glad to see the new one open.

"I've been waiting for this a long time. I can come here and do one stop shopping" say Chapman.

There were rumors that WalMart could be leaving Camilla. Shoppers say they are so glad Walmart stayed.

"I won't have to travel out of town to another Walmart and it really do mean a lot to have a Walmart here in Camilla" says Moncorrius Brown.

The new supercenter may be smaller format but it is making a big impression on Camilla resident.

Walmart marked the day by giving back and making a donation to the community.
